Sabine Chalopin
Leadership and Transition Coach
Helping people and organisations navigate moments of change, complexity and opportunity.
I work with individuals, investors and organisations at moments when the path ahead isn't entirely clear — helping them step back, sharpen their thinking and make decisions with greater clarity and conviction.
For individuals, this may mean navigating a career or leadership transition, questioning what success means now, or deciding what the next chapter should look like.
For organisations, it may mean navigating complex strategic, ESG or sustainability challenges, strengthening leadership and governance, or responding to a changing environment.
In both, my role is to bring experience, perspective and challenge — creating the space to think differently, make conscious choices and move forward with purpose.
For Individuals
My coaching creates a confidential space to step back from the demands and expectations around you, tune in to what matters to you now, and explore what you really want next. The goal is to create greater alignment between what matters to you and how you lead, work and live.
Coaching can be particularly valuable when you're at an inflection point. You might be:
Wondering whether the path you've been on still feels right — and what an alternative could look like.
Moving into a new role, leaving an organisation, starting something new or entering a different stage of life.
Recognising that what motivated you in the past may no longer be what matters most.
Wanting to lead with greater confidence, clarity and authenticity without losing your ambition.
Knowing something needs to change but finding it difficult to see clearly what — or how — to move forward.
I work particularly with experienced professionals navigating inflection points — moments when the path ahead is no longer obvious, or when the definition of success that once worked no longer feels quite right.
My role isn't to tell you what to do. It's to bring experience, perspective and challenge, while creating the space for you to make decisions that are genuinely your own.
A three-month coaching programme designed to give you the space and momentum to explore what's next.
Two 60-minute sessions each month
Six confidential one-to-one conversations over three months, with space between sessions to reflect, experiment and take action.
We start with where you are and work towards what you want to understand, change or create.
By the end of our work together, you may have:
“I was at a stage in mid-life where I was transitioning out of a 25+ year career from the BBC, a large British institution, and trying to make sense of what the next chapter could look like for me. Sabine created a safe space to explore different paths and possibilities, without pressure or judgement. She has a calm and positive manner. I felt completely heard and supported, which gave me the clarity and confidence to start moving forward in a way that felt both intentional and exciting.”
Miranda M, London“Sabine brings deep experience, wisdom, and genuine care to her coaching, along with a calm, grounded presence that creates a powerful partnership for achieving results. Her thoughtful, incisive questions helped me uncover perspectives I hadn't considered and better understand the factors driving my decisions, including how I sometimes get in my own way. Through our work together, I was able to move forward toward my goals in a way that felt both grounded and energizing. I would highly recommend her to anyone navigating a complex challenge or looking to move forward with greater focus and intention.”
Gwen F, Utah“Over a 4-month period, Sabine helped me to explore international goals from my Sydney base, bringing clarity, structure and concrete steps throughout. She was an amazing sounding board throughout and I truly enjoyed the experience.”
Mel B, SydneyFor Organisations
Senior sustainability expertise for complex environments.
Alongside my coaching practice, I provide selective ESG and sustainability advisory support to investment firms and portfolio companies.
I bring more than 20 years' experience across private equity, infrastructure and sustainability, including senior responsibility for ESG strategy, governance, risk management and portfolio implementation.
I can support organisations with:
Developing practical approaches that align sustainability ambitions with investment and business priorities.
Helping portfolio companies translate ESG expectations into practical action.
Advising boards, investment committees and senior management teams on ESG-related decisions and responsibilities.
Providing senior ESG capability where a full-time resource isn't required.
I work selectively with organisations where my experience and perspective can add value.
“As someone who has worked with Sabine for years, I highly recommend her for both ESG and leadership/transition work. She brings a blend of competence, experience, knowledge, and judgment that uniformly adds value. Just as important, she is exceptionally collaborative and practical. I cannot think of anyone else I would want doing this work alongside me.”
Scott Mackin, Partner, Denham Capital Management LPAbout Sabine
I have spent more than 20 years working across private equity, infrastructure and sustainability, helping organisations navigate complexity, manage risk and create meaningful change.
My career has given me experience of working with senior leaders, investment teams and organisations across different markets and cultures — and a deep understanding of what it takes to turn ambition into action.
Alongside my professional experience, I trained as a coach through Wayfinder Life Coach Training, founded by Martha Beck, and completed Harvard's Immunity to Change programme, which explores the underlying beliefs and competing commitments that can prevent meaningful change.
I bring these different perspectives together through Pillar 3. As an independent advisor and thought partner, I work with organisations and individuals who are navigating change and want to make a meaningful impact.
My role isn't to tell you what to do. It's to bring experience, perspective, challenge and curiosity — and to create the space to think clearly, question assumptions and make choices that are genuinely your own.
I live in London with my husband, three teenage children and our cocker spaniel, Rocky. I love covering both UK and international clients from my London base.
I believe that meaningful change starts with clarity — understanding what matters, what might be getting in the way, and what you want to create next.
